<p>With Jimmy Barnes currently recovering from <a href="https://www.oversixty.co.nz/health/caring/the-dose-of-magic-helping-jimmy-barnes-recover-after-surgery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">open heart surgery</a>, there was no way he could perform at the Red Hot Summer Tour, but his family and friends have come together to put on a show in honour of the star. </p> <p>The<em> Barnes All-Stars</em>, formed by none other than Jimmy's own daughter Mahalia, includes stars like Jon Stevens, Chris Cheney, and his legendary <em>Cold Chisel</em> bandmate, Ian Moss.</p> <p>The band have been headlining for the first three shows of the tour, and performed classic songs by <em>Cold Chisel</em> and Jimmy Barnes, which were compiled by the rock star himself.</p> <p>While the band put on a stellar show, Jimmy's granddaughter, Ruby Rogers' performance of the the Chisel classic <em>Flame Trees, </em>stole the hearts of fans. </p> <p>"In case you didn’t get to see this fantastic performance, this is granddaughter Ruby filling in for me on the weekend," Jimmy tweeted, gushing over her performance. </p> <p>"I love her so much. "I just don't like old skin": Jane Fonda's bizarre confession

<p>Jane Fonda has made an unusual confession about her dating life, explaining why she would only date people of a certain age. </p> <p>The Hollywood legend, 85, has been married three times throughout her life: first to director Roger Vadim from 1965 to 1973, then to activist Tom Hayden from 1973 to 1990, and finally to CNN founder Ted Turner from 1991 to 2001.</p> <p>Fonda is currently single, but doesn't plan on staying that way. </p> <p>Despite being open to finding love, the actress has a very specific criteria for potential suitors to meet before agreeing to a date. </p> <p>On the <em>Absolutely Not</em> podcast, the Oscar winner initially suggested she was done with men for good, saying, “I’m done, I’m over, I’m [almost] 86 years old, even in the dark I wouldn’t want to be naked in front of anybody.” </p> <p>But she then went on to confess that there’s still a chance she could fall for a man, but they would just have to be substantially younger. </p> <p>“And here’s another thing, I’m ashamed to say this, if I were to take a lover, he’d have to be 20. Because I don’t like old skin,” said Fonda.</p> <p>She continued, “And consequently, I don’t want to foist that on anybody else. "Who picks a fight with a rock star?" Jimmy Barnes confronts on-road "bully"

<p>Jimmy Barnes' wife Jane has ripped into a truck driver who "bullied" the couple on the road, with the driver attempting to "fight Jimmy on the roadside". </p> <p>Jane Barnes said the incident occurred on Wednesday night in the south Sydney suburb of Botany Bay, when the couple had been driving home from a charity event. </p> <p>In a furious thread on Twitter, Jane detailed the terrifying incident which resulted in the police being called. </p> <p>Jane wrote, "(He) cut us off across our lane and swiped our mirror, wanted to fight Jimmy on the roadside."</p> <p>"Trucks are like weapons, bullies behind the wheel a danger to us all," she wrote, alongside the hashtags #TOLL and #NOtobullies. </p> <p>Jane then shared a photo of the truck drivers' side profile as he almost came to blows with the rockstar, as well as photos of the truck's license plate and the Barnes' car which shows the drivers' side wing mirror bent out of place. </p> <p>Jane went on to say the truckie had shared his details with the couple and that NSW Police had been called over the altercation. </p> <p>However, she said, officers "couldn't do much" if there were no injuries or damages.</p> <p>Jane's post drew in a wave of attention, with one fan asking, "Who picks a fight with a rock star?"</p> <p>Ms Barnes replied, "Shouldn't matter who it is. <p>Jimmy Barnes was left mortified after he awkwardly confused a blowtorch for a microphone and attempted to sing into it.</p> <p>The legendary hitmaker, 66, shared a hilarious photo of the mishap to Facebook, which captured him screaming into the device while waving at the camera.</p> <p>Thankfully for Barnes, the blowtorch was turned off, so he was not injured by the blunder.</p> <p>“PLEASE DO NOT try this at home, or anywhere. "It's been a tough year": Jimmy Barnes reveals very different Christmas plans

<p>Jimmy Barnes has shared how he and his family will be spending Christmas after a tumultuous year of family losses. </p> <p>Talking to <a href="https://www.nowtolove.com.au/parenting/celebrity-families/jimmy-barnes-grandchildren-75773" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Australian Women's Weekly</a>, the legendary singer shared how this festive season will be a poignant one for the Barnes family. </p> <p>"It's been a tough year," Jimmy said simply.</p> <p>The Barneses have lost many of their closest friends and family over the last few months, including Jimmy's great mates from the music business, Mushroom Records founder Michael Gudinski, Warren Costello (Mushroom executive and true friend with whom Jimmy worked closely, daily for decades) and Pierre Baroni (friend, photographer and creative co-conspirator).</p> <p>Then they lost Jimmy's sister, Linda, and Jane's mother, Kusumphorn Visuthipol.</p> <p>"It all started with Michael," he explains. "When Michael left, it was such a shock. Since then, we've lost about seven people who were really close to us, who we weren't expecting to lose, including Warren, one of the nicest people in the world, and Pierre, who was like part of our family."</p> <p>"We were just so close. Warren and Linda and Jane's mum died within two weeks of each other. It was just horrendous. It sort of took the wind out of my sails." </p> <p>As a result of the devastating losses, Jimmy said their family Christmas will look very different this year. </p> <p>In years prior, the Barnes family would host extravagant celebrations where everyone was welcome, and would party into the night. </p> <p>This year however, they are planning something much more low-key. </p> <p>"Jane and I are going away for Christmas, by ourselves. It's because we lost Jane's mum and I think the idea of her not being here for Christmas is very difficult for us to deal with. So, we're going to Thailand to visit the temple where we left her ashes, but also to get a bit of air. Our kids are big now. They're doing their own Christmases. Jimmy Barnes gets candid about surgery

Jimmy Barnes to undergo urgent surgery

<p dir="ltr">Jimmy Barnes has been forced to cancel his upcoming tour to undergo urgent surgery.</p> <p dir="ltr">The 66-year-old said the five decades rocking on stage and being bent at the waist will see him under hip and back surgery.</p> <p dir="ltr">His final performance will be held the first weekend of December at Valo Adelaide 500 before he goes in for surgery.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I’ve been jumping off PAs and stomping around stages for nearly 50 years, but it’s finally caught up with me,” Barnes said in a statement.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I’ve had niggling back and hip issues for years, but things suddenly got a lot worse over the last few weeks and I’m now in constant and severe pain.</p> <p dir="ltr">“As everybody knows, it’s against my religion to blow out gigs but the doctors tell me I need an operation as soon as possible and it will really limit my movement for a few months.</p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; Jane Fonda's "realistic" views on her own mortality

"I can't stop smiling": Jimmy Barnes overwhelmed by honour

<p dir="ltr">Jimmy Barnes has received an Honorary Doctorate for his distinguished service to the community. </p> <p dir="ltr">The legendary rock singer, who left school at 16 to join Cold Chisel as lead singer, was humbled when he accepted the award from the University of South Australia. </p> <p dir="ltr">The 66-year-old shared heartwarming photos to his Instagram with his family, and included a short snippet of his acceptance speech. </p> <p dir="ltr">“I am both humbled and proud to be receiving an Honorary Doctorate awarded to me by the @universitysa,” his caption read.</p> <p dir="ltr">“What an Honour. The magnitude of this occasion has only just sunk in. Jane Fonda reassures fans after cancer diagnosis

<p dir="ltr">Beloved actress Jane Fonda has announced via instagram that she has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system.</p> <p dir="ltr">The 84-year-old is set to undergo chemotherapy, and <a href="https://www.janefonda.com/2022/09/cancer/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shares regular health updates on her blog</a> while also extending her “heart-felt” thanks to those who have sent well wishes.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Since last week, so many people have written to me or posted that they have had this type of cancer and have been cancer-free for many decades," she wrote.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Well, I’ll soon be 85 so I won’t have to worry about 'many decades.' One will do just fine."</p> <p dir="ltr">Jane has reminded fans she has "a very treatable cancer" and that she has successfully battled breast cancer in the past "and I will do so again".</p> <p dir="ltr">"Many have asked how I am feeling. Well today, about three weeks from my first chemo session, I must tell you that I feel stronger than I have in years. The doctor told me the best antidote to the tiredness that chemotherapy can cause is to move. Walk. And I have been walking. Very early before the record heat kicks in.
